CARE
Listen to athletes and families, understand their expectations and respect their circumstances.

Game Plan was founded on a belief: young athletes should be able to pursue their sporting ambitions while building their academic future.
Not being selected for a development academy in France should not close every door. Game Plan helps young athletes explore other ways to combine education and competitive sport in North America.
Our goal is to provide honest guidance toward an environment that fits each athlete’s ability, goals and circumstances. The aim goes beyond getting overseas: it is to develop, thrive and work toward a qualification.

From playing basketball in France to coaching, strength and conditioning, and athletic leadership in Canada, Alex’s background connects the experience of young French athletes with the demands of the North American system.
Alex holds a master’s degree in STAPS EOPS — sports training and performance optimization — and completed his STAPS sports training bachelor’s degree at INSEP. Over more than ten years in France, he coached young athletes and worked in strength and conditioning, from grassroots levels through Nationale 3, including experience at the Centre fédéral at INSEP during his studies.
Based in Toronto, Alex spent three seasons as an assistant basketball coach at George Brown College and one year as a prep school head coach. He also spent a year in strength and conditioning with high-level and professional hockey players. Today, he works as an athletic director.
Before founding Game Plan, Alex co-founded an association that helped student-athletes pursue prep school and university opportunities through sports projects in France and the United States. Game Plan builds on that commitment with guidance focused on each young person and their future.
That experience shapes every project: looking beyond a school’s name or division to assess what truly fits the student-athlete.
Assess playing ability, development needs and program expectations. Discuss the anticipated role and the environment for growth.
Connect athletic goals with a meaningful course of study, considering academic readiness, language, admissions requirements and the qualification pursued.
Consider budget, maturity, housing and distance from family. The right opportunity must also fit the young person’s everyday life.
Listen to athletes and families, understand their expectations and respect their circumstances.
Explain opportunities and limitations clearly.
Invest in each project and support every step with care, consistency and availability.
Prepare recruiting materials thoroughly and seek a strong athletic, academic and personal fit.
Look beyond the next season: qualifications, independence and opportunities after sport.
“The goal isn’t simply to get there. It’s to make the right move.”« Le but n’est pas simplement d’y arriver. C’est de faire le bon choix. »
